the work
We built a brand from the ground up for Easy Entertainment. From messaging, visual ID, to the web experience. Positioned primarily for women in the event management space.
The brand relies heavily on this looped brand expression. When we said we wanted the brand to feel 'easy', then it should naturally be drawn to look like such. We took that brand expression and injected it into an illustration system, motion, and typography.
The brand features rich and luxe teals, purples, and gold. It's King St West personified, as that's where you'll often find him.

EVENT PLANNER, DENTON LAW
"I’ve hired DJ John for multiple client events, and he consistently delivers a great experience. He’s responsive, professional, and really understands how to read the room"

ILLUSTRATION
I worked directly with my partner, Mariia Konash on building the illustration system and basic motion guidelines for the brand. The line and loop had to mean something — it truly wasn't just an aesthetic choice for the logo mark.
It was designed to connect two ideas. To bring the user from point A, to point B. The brand in itself is quite structured, so the natural and organic lines break up the structure and give a bit of aesthetic breathing room.

imagery
We leaned heavily on nostalgia and FOMO. Events take months to plan, and when they finally happen, it all ends and disappears in hours. Rooting imagery in simulated film with a disposable flash was a conscious choice to evoke nostalgia, to evoke the feeling that the evening lives on, and that events are moments worth cherishing.
These image principles were instituted both in real life photography, videography, and AI generated imagery.

Additional context
I've known John for more than half my life. He is my longest and greatest friend. Both of us are business majors who decided to leave management behind and pursue creative careers.
All I wanted was for John to be happy with this project, to feel like it was an extension of him, and that it reflected his values and the story he was trying ot tell. He hired me, but it still felt like my gift to him to let him know that I loved him and supported him in his new endeavour.
I care deeply about those I build with, and want all of my clients to experience a heightened success because of the creative branding their projects possess.
